This project transforms a compact area within the residence into a sophisticated private hospitality experience,
combining a relaxed coffee lounge, intimate foyer and luxurious private bar within a single cohesive interior.
The design was driven by the challenge of creating a sense of depth, luxury and versatility within a limited footprint. Rather than treating the spaces as separate functions,
the design creates a gradual journey from a bright morning coffee setting to an intimate evening lounge and private bar.
Warm natural materials, sculptural curves, bespoke joinery and layered lighting establish a refined yet comfortable atmosphere, bringing the character of a boutique hospitality
space into a private residence.
The experience evolves naturally throughout the day:
Morning Coffee → Afternoon Tea → Evening Cocktails
The foyer is transformed from a simple circulation space into a dedicated coffee and tea lounge, designed as a quiet place to pause, enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon tea.
A central skylight introduces natural daylight deep into the space, creating a bright and calming atmosphere during the morning while visually extending the narrow footprint.
A bespoke coffee bar is integrated into the architectural joinery, providing discreet storage for coffee equipment, tea, glassware and accessories.
Compact lounge seating creates an intimate setting for casual conversation, while the open shelving and curved architectural elements add depth and character without
visually closing the space.
The foyer acts as a transitional layer between the main residence and the private bar, creating a gradual shift from light and relaxed to warm and atmospheric.
At the heart of the project is a bespoke private bar and lounge, designed for intimate entertaining, cocktails and relaxed evenings at home.
The bar is integrated into the architecture through custom shelving, concealed storage and illuminated bottle displays. Sculptural curves and rounded openings soften
the compact footprint while creating a distinctive architectural identity.
A generous curved sofa forms the centre of the lounge, accompanied by sculptural accent seating and nested coffee tables. The arrangement maximises seating while
maintaining comfortable circulation and an intimate conversational atmosphere.
The space is intentionally designed to feel like a luxury cocktail lounge within the home — without losing the comfort and warmth of a residential setting.
Furniture is selected and customised to maximise both comfort and spatial efficiency.
A sculptural curved sofa becomes the focal point of the lounge, complemented by compact lounge chairs, ottomans and organic-shaped coffee tables.
Bespoke joinery integrates the coffee station, bottle display, glassware storage and decorative shelving, allowing functionality to become part of the architectural design.
Rounded edges and organic forms are repeated throughout the furniture and joinery to create visual continuity between the two spaces.
The material palette combines warm natural textures with refined hospitality-inspired finishes.
The restrained palette creates a warm and timeless environment, while the contrast between light and dark materials adds depth to the compact space.
The lighting gradually transitions the space from bright residential lounge to intimate evening bar, creating a sense of depth and atmosphere without relying on excessive decorative fixtures.
Abstract artwork introduces organic movement and warm tonal variation, complementing the natural timber, stone and textured surfaces.
Curated bottles, glassware and decorative objects become part of the visual composition, turning the bar shelving into both functional storage and a curated display.
Sculptural decorative elements reinforce the organic design language and add a personalised layer to the interior.
The result is a compact yet highly layered residential environment that supports different rituals throughout the day.
